FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) – A man has been arrested on a charge of involuntary manslaughter in connection with a fatal wreck in Fayetteville that killed a 47-year-old Fort Bragg officer earlier this year.RELATED: Motorcyclist killed in crash was command sergeant major at Fort Bragg

The Fayetteville Observer  reports that an arrest report shows 26-year-old Justin A. Dunlap was charged Friday.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office says that Dunlap drove across the center median on Jan. 16, entered oncoming traffic and crashed into Command Sgt. Maj. Lynn Edward Ratley, who was riding a motorcycle. Ratley died as a result of his injuries. He was part of the 261st Multifunctional Medical Battalion at Fort Bragg.RELATED: Man killed in Fayetteville motorcycle crash, charges filed

Dunlap has been facing numerous lesser charges since the immediate aftermath of the crash, including a charge of misdemeanor death by motor vehicle. It is unclear whether he has an attorney.
