FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Fayetteville police are requesting the public’s help in locating a suspect tied to an attempted sex assault against a 20-year-old woman that occurred June 18.RELATED: NC woman fights off man attempting to sexually assault her, police say

Police have obtained warrants charging Antoyne Dontaye Gibbons, 20, of the 500 block of Cutchen Lane, with kidnapping, attempted second-degree forcible sex offense, and first-degree burglary.

Gibbons is charged in connection with an incident that occurred around midnight on June 18. The victim told police that a man pulled her from her front door onto the porch and attempted to sexually assault her at a residence in the area of Five Sisters Court. She was able to fight back and call for help.
