BUNN, N.C. (WNCN) – A teen girl was killed in a serious crash in Franklin County Saturday night, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol said.

The two-vehicle crash was called in at approximately 9:05 p.m. at the intersection of Pilot Riley Road and Williams White Road just outside Bunn.MORE NEWS:Zebulon teen who died in crash was first in family to attend college, hoped to be a doctor

According to investigators, a gray Toyota Camry was heading north on Williams White Road and a red Honda Accord was going west on Pilot Riley Road. That’s when the driver of the Camry ran a stop sign and was T-boned by the Accord on the passenger side.

There were three people in the Camry, including 18-year-old Tachina Lynette Smith, of Zebulon, who was riding behind the driver and not wearing her seat belt. She was kiled in the crash, authoritie said.

The driver and other passenger in the Camry are expected to be OK. The driver wasn’t hurt and the other passenger had minor injuries.

Authorities said there were at least two people in the Accord and both were transported to the hospital but are expected to survive.

The driver of the Camry, Makel Breece, 18, of Zebulon, was charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and failing to stop at a stop sign. Authorities said Breece was a friend of the victim.

No drugs or alcohol are suspected in the crash, officials said.
