MORRISVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – A Durham man has been arrested and charged in connection with a shooting that occurred near Davis Drive in Morrisville on Nov. 13, Town of Morrisville officials said.RELATED: Man shot near Davis Dr. in Morrisville

Antwan Johnson, 29, was arrested Monday morning at approximately 9:30 a.m. and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery.

Morrisville police officers responded to a report of a gunshot wound at 201 Sutter Gate Dr. at approximately 12:01 a.m. on Nov. 13 and found a man identified as Steven McRae, 47, of Durham, at the scene suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he underwent surgery.

McRae was listed in stable condition after his surgery, but officials have not provided an update since the surgery occurred shortly after he was shot.

The Morrisville Police Department said in a media release that they “would like to thank the City of Durham Police Department and Durham County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance.”

Johnson is being held in Durham County Jail under a $60,000 secured bond.
