CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Police have arrested a man who was wanted in connection to the shooting of a 5-year-old girl near uptown Charlotte in early November.

Patrick Glenn, 27, is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury, four counts of assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle in operation causing serious injury, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The incident happened just before 9:15 p.m. on Nov. 10, while the girl was riding in a car with three adults and another child on 12th Street. Officials said another vehicle – a Nissan Sentra – pulled beside the victim’s car and began firing into the vehicle, striking the 5-year-old.RELATED: 5-year-old girl shot while riding in car in Charlotte
The driver then went to a gas station in the 1500 block of North Tryon Street and called 911. Medic got to the scene and took the young girl to Carolinas Medical Center.
Police said the girl, whose name has not been released, underwent surgery. Her current condition has not been released.
Police said the next day that it appeared Glenn knew one of the adults in the girl’s car.
Glenn was arrested Tuesday on Augusta Street. He’s expected to appear in court Wednesday.
